Good news, folks!
Frepo and Bul has started to work on Colonies again. We've also noticed that people on Freecol has referred to our documentation for ideas. And the documentation that's up here is a bit out of date so we will make sure to get the new documentation up here as soon as possible!
Also; If anyone in the Freecol team would like to have our graphics for the colony buildings just contact Frepo (frepo81[at]yahoo.com). There are no copyright restrictions to worry about since he made them all himself.

Project "on ice" for a while

Since we all got daytime jobs (well not me, but I'm not a programmer, just a gaming junkie) the Colonies project has been put on hold for a while. We must be optimists and hope that Frepo and Bul gets fired from their jobs so they can continue develop this masterpiece.
I will work on putting up the latest beta (0.0.3) here since the torrent is dead. More on that later...

Problems with downloads

There's an issue that causes the load on the server to increase to a point where server fail-saves rename one file needed to start the download.
This hasn't happen before and I believe that our service provider has decreased the load that each account can use. This to fix the server lag that they have had.
So, until we can figure this out we have to remove the option to download the game directly from the site. Instead use the torrent file, we'll seed as much as we can and we hope that those who download will seed aswell.
